Hello

I am not sure how to be a good Team leader because I don't decide it, but my team does it. This is what I do:

- Send weekly team mail
- Discuss in the mail the SFI news
- Sharing what I do, buy and read
- Show appreciation toward my team
- When one of my PSA becomes EA I give him/her reward - TCredits and Reassign PSA
- When someone of my team ask me something I answer as fast as I can
- When people of my team need me and I know it, I stay by their side and give support
- Sharing answers of Biz quiz or Spin and Win
- Being Honest

That is what I do. I believe my team will speak if I am good or not

By aspiring to be an awesome sponsor, we learn the following things a good team leader should possess:

Skill with people.- We need to understand people and human nature- why people do things that they do. When we know why and how people will react under certain conditions, then we can become skillful manager of people in our team.

We need to realize that people are primarily interested in themselves, as in our business they are interested in how to earn money fast, quick and easy.

Make your team feel important- It’s a universal trait, a trait so strong that it makes men do the things that they do – good or bad. The desire to be important and to be recognized.

So it’s true that the more important you make people feel, the more they will respond to you. He is just as important to himself as you are to yourself.

Listen to them. it is just about the best way to make them feel important.

Applaud and compliment them- when they deserve it. Use the numerous E-Cards to express your feeling and appreciation.

Use their names and pictures as often as possible. It’s why we have our profile photo, and we get rewarded when it is uploaded.

Pay attention to everybody in your group.

Probably nothing will help you so much as a good and effective team leader as learning to be agreeable, to agree with the people in your team.

It’s been said that any fool can disagree with people and that it makes a wise man, a shrewd man, a big man to agree- particularly when the other person is wrong.

Find out what your team want. As a good team leader, show them how they can get what they want by doing what you want them to do.

Find out what they are after, what they like, because all of us are different. When you know what will move them, then know how to move them.

So, in addition to the DO’s and DON’Ts of being an Awesome Sponsor, learning them and applying them in your role as a good Team Leader for your group will mean so much not only for your own personal development but for the overall success of your SFI business and your team.

If you do not have a good Sponsor / Team Leader - follow the guidelines SFI gives us on How to be an awesome sponsor.

Learn from the rest of SFI at the Forum.

One thing you should never do is get over confident. Believe in yourself and you abilities to be a great leader but do not think you can not improve. We are human, so there is always room for improvement.

Some people are natural born leaders this is innate to their personality and character. For others it has to be learned.
We are blessed that within the SFI program there are lessons teaching us how to be great Team Leaders by putting all you learn into practice.

So any-one who takes SFI as a serious business can be an awesome Team Leader and lead their Team by example, others will follow great leaders.

So read everything, put what you learn into practice, offer you help, advice and be caring and considerate and you will be the best team leader.

If you help make every-one in your team Diamonds then you have achieved the ultimate.

This after all is the Goal, you are successful when all your team is successful.

Establishing Your Role as a Leader!Make the time to lead!Lead by example.
Treat everyone on your team with equal respect. Keep an open and honest communication and show your team that you are here to solve any problems or make any needed adjustments that benefit the team as a whole.
Be respectful !!!!!! Never criticise other individuals or departments, especially around the team. After all, if your team sees you behaving a certain way, members may think it’s ok to behave similarly. Not only is that kind of behavior disrespectful and unprofessional, but it falls on you.
Be decisive as well. People are more likely to follow and respect you if you can make quick, well informed decisions. When you procrastinate, your team sees that and it can be perceived as weakness. You’re there to lead and make decisions, so be prepared to do so.
Listen to others.
Encourage your team!
Pay attention to morale. A demoralized team won't function. You must set the positive spirit, make the goals clear, show how the job is feasible and possible. No one will work for an impossible goal.

The difference between managers and leaders is that leaders inspire their followers.

You don't need to be perfect to be a leader. You just need to be at least one step ahead of your followers, and inspire them to follow you along the path you have chosen.

The best way to do that is by;
- setting a good example
- communicating openly with them
- encouraging them every step of the way
- seeking ways to give them 'AHA' moments.

Make your team members feel that they are special, and that they are part of something special, and they will follow you wherever you lead them.

I think, to be a good team leader, the leader of the team should communicate with other members of the team frequently, especially those that are new here. During the communication, the team leader should discuss with the team members about everyone' s role and let them be clear of what they should be doing daily, weekly and monthly.

And a good team leader should make it clear to the team members that he or she intend to respect every team members and acknowledge to them how important and vital each one of them is to the success of the team.

Plus, a good team leader should be eager to answer team members' questions.

There are two ways to learn and you should use them both simultaneously. One is reading in order to teach yourself about Internet Marketing in general and seeking good mentors in your upline, and other affiliates through A2a.

The best way to learn is by making A2a friends with Team leaders especially the Platinum and the diamond ones because they may be SFI affiliates longer than you so they can share with you their experience. Make friends with Team leaders on Facebook not only to engage in online chat but also checking and following their posts if they have fan pages then even better because you may see pictures, links, and other things that may be useful to you in the learning process. Does it ever occur to you that these people may have a group? So maybe they can add you in it so this is another useful place for you to learn. You may even be surprised if you get invited to a webinar.

I will give you an example by telling you a very well known Bible Story. It is called The 10 Commandments or Prince of Egypt. The second book of the bible known as Exodus tells the Story of a man born in Egypt of Hebrew Slaves his name was Moses. His life was in danger so his mother hid him for three months after he was born but she could no longer hide him so she wove a basket with papyrus and put him inside and then she put him in the river. He was found by the pharaoh's daughter and she reared him as her own child. So the son of Hebrew slaves grew up in the palace of Egypt as a prince until he found out the truth and killed an Egyptian slave master.

Moses fled into the desert for many days until he arrived in the land of Midian at the home of a high priest and shepherd with many daughters but Jethro was old and could not tend the sheep so Moses arrival was a blessing. So now an Egyptian Prince living in a palace ended up in the desert living a nomadic lifestyle tending sheep but Moses knew nothing about sheep so he needed time to learn. So Jethro's daughters had to hang out with him and teach him. So little by little he learned from these women and then once he mastered it God appeared to him on a mountain in the shape of a burning bush and called upon him.

God revealed to Moses that for 400 years he heard the cries of his people and witnessed their suffering, so he has finally chosen a deliverer and that was Moses. So he freaked out because he said that he is not right for the job. The truth is that Moses became a mighty leader of a large nation wandering in the desert once led out of Egypt but in order for this to happen Moses needed training and preparation to be a leader so how do you think Moses learned? The answer is tending sheep so before he could lead a large multitude of people he had to be a shepherd in the desert tending a huge flock of sheep.

Company provides us a mount of materials and tutorials how to learn to lead our team.
If you have an active sponsor, its easy, follow him/her!
If you dont like leading how your sponsor do that, than start make own strategy:

1.Communication (contact your team regulary and offer help, informations, updates)
2.Every day doing your job (so your members see that you are serious) and
3.Advertising (Company and Tripleclicks site)

With those 3 steps you will be for sure learn to be a good leader because your members will FOLLOW you.

Thank you for your question because it is one that we must ask ourselves if we want to succeed in SFI.
I think that the first requirement of being a team leader is to set a good example for our team to follow. SFI makes it easy to see our accomplishments by the badges on our page but these same badges also shows us the areas that need work. Never ask your team to do anything that you are not willing to do. Set the standard high for yourself and when your team sees that you are achieving your goals, they will follow.
I think that the second requirement of being a good team leader is to be a good reader. You have to read all the communications from SFI so that you will have the facts that you need to make decisions that affect you and your team. That is the reason SFI sends the newsletters and emails and that is the reason that you read them. There have been a lot of changes in SFI lately and you need up-to-date information in order to keep up with them.
The next requirement is to have good communication with your team. Each team leader chooses the method of communication that works best for his/her team. You have to make sure that whatever means of communication that you select is checked often so that you can respond promptly to your members needs. You also need to share the latest news in your stream posts.
The main job of being a good leader is to LEAD! I remember one piece of advice that I was given was that if you are a leader you must lead or you must get out of the way so that someone can.
