Think about the qualities that you have seen in others that you consider to be great salesmen. I think the following qualities are what I respect:
1- Product knowledge
The best salespeople are those that know about what they are selling, and how that product can be of value to the prospective buyer.
2- Presentation Knowledge
A great salesman can read body language. They know when to "back off" from being too assertive. They know which "selling points" to highlight based on the person they are speaking to.
