After striking up a conversation with a stranger or someone I barely know I use the acronym FROM to guide the things I talk about.
Family - Wife or Husband, kids, etc.
Recreation - Hobbies, pass-times and other interests.
Occupation - This is where I bring SFI into the conversation.
Miscellaneous - If we need more things to talk about there's always the weather and news!
