I recently ventured out doing some door to door in this area. Here is how I approached my prospects:
Step 1. I introduce myself as an affiliate marketer with SFI and Tripleclicks and ask if they have time right now to look at an opportunity for getting more sales. 95% agreed to listen so I quickly moved to step 2.
Step 2. I briefly explain SFI and Tripleclicks and the relationship between the two all while plugging in what's in it for them. Then came the questions.
Step 3. Because I purposely used a brief elevator pitch type explanation of the ECA program it opens up a lot of questions so I made sure I was prepared with my fliers and brochure which I now hand to the prospect along with my contact details.
I then continue the conversation with my favorite prospecting question "how many times have you had a customer that you wish would come shopping at your store again?" (Almost every business owner/ operator can relate to that) and go on to give more details about the benefits of the ECA program.
That's what I did and got my first ECA!
Important Tips
The more interested prospects will whirl a host of questions at you, question like "where is your head office located?" and "what do you get for referring me?"
I tell my prospects that Tripleclicks will pay me for referring them, they don't pay anything unless we get them sales.
