Should I prospect people to become affiliates only from my own country...or from everywhere?

Even though it is good to recruit PSA's from your own country, never stop there! Having a wide variety of nationals is the way to go! This greatly enhance the dynamics of your team and your efforts in the long run.
Note: Having all your PSAs being from your country would mean that youe entire team has all the same limitations.
eg. I live in Jamaica, if all my PSAs are Jamaican and live in Jamaica then we are all under the restriction of limited paypal usage, same search engine results, same shipping restrictions, same banking restrictions, etc...
In essence, having a geographically dynamic team is way better than having the entire team all in the same situation.

How important is it that your family embrace your SFI business...and what if they don't?

Having your family embrace your SFI business is a big plus but if they don't then there's no need to worry. Not everyone understands what it means to run your own business, especially online.
There are millions of people searching the web daily for business opportunities like this one, hence the thousands of new SFI sign ups every day. You could join forums and social media groups that are focused on work at home/ MLM business ideas, I'm sure that the people in these forums, blogs and groups will do more than just embrace your SFI Business, in fact you'll be generating sign-ups!

Are there other resources we can/should use, besides official SFI ones, to be successful in building our teams?

I love this question.
From my research, the plain and simple answer is yes, there are a lot of other resources out there that are being used to build the larger, more active teams. From what I've seen browsing traffic exchanges, the most successful people in SFI all use custom resources like custom websites/blogs, landing pages, capture pages, invitation videos and the whole works. I too have established three custom websites thus far, all of which are primarily designed to recruit active referrals and I recently won a lifetime custom domain in the PB Auctions so I will end up having four websites at my disposal and this is just one example of the tonnes of custom resources out there. Ever wondered what the inside of a down-line builder affiliate program looks like? Just food for the thought.

What are some of the best ways to advertise my business OUTSIDE of online social media?

There are tonnes of places you can advertise your SFI business offline.
1. Local New Papers/ Magazines:- Every newspaper I've ever seen has advertisements and I don't believe your country is any different because running ads is a source of income for both newspapers and magazines.
2. Local Bill-Boards:- Most major cities across the world are saturated with advertising bill-boards. Get your ads in a popular area and I'm sure you will enjoy the results.
3. Issue Fliers:- issuing fliers in your nearby town can be very effective, especially in a place where people are actually looking to make money from home.
These are only three of the tonnes of ways to promote your business offline.

How do I promote the Signing Bonus and the opportunity to increase it to my new affiliates who have just received the $20 Signing Bonus?

I believe Gery and the team has already done an extremely wonderful job at promoting the Sign-Up Bonus and the opportunity to max out at $100 so it would probably be best not to overwhelm the new affiliate. However, if you still feel the need to re-iterate, I would suggest you you approach it indirectly like probably asking the affiliate if he/she needs any help with completing any tasks. I believe this would be a better approach than to give the affiliate information that is already in front of them.

How can I win one of the new Micro auctions?

As a first-time bidder I won twice in one night so I'm excited to share my strategy.
1. Make sure to set a price range of the min/max TCredits/Cash I am willing to spend.
2. Look for the an auction that shows the "Under Performer" tag.
3. I bid as soon as I get on to see how much competition is out there.
"you will notice the price goes up if you are outbid, note that each $0.01 added to the bid represents 1 competitor."
4. After determining how many persons/ bidders I then wait and bid only when the price says "Going Twice". Note: This is risky as you have to pay keen attention to the bid. You will loose if you wait too long to bid.
This simple 4 step strategy won me 35 CSA's and 2 PSA's!
Goodluck!

Marvelous question.
If I were allowed to answer your question in one word it would be "incentives"! Give away an incentive for certain achievements.
For example you could re-assign 2 PSAs to each new affiliate who becomes EA, a $5.00 gift card for the top 5 affiliates who earn the most VersaPoint etc.
Why offer incentives?
As the old folk saying goes, "Encouragement heartens labor"! The "encouragement" in this case would be the incentive you offered your active referral. It show how much you appreciate their efforts hence sprouting more efforts.

What's the best way to motivate my affiliates to become buyers at TripleClicks?

The best way to convert any prospect into a paying customer is to advertise goods/services that the individual prospect just cannot go without. (And this principle applies to any business)
As an SFI affiliate, we cannot go without recruiting new referrals each month so I always encourage my affiliates to set up a standing order for a co-op advertising package in addition to their regular 1500VP standing order. That way we all win because as they refer new affiliates and teach them these same steps, they start generating income for themselves.
Another excellent strategy is to give them gift certificates towards the items they are interested in. That way they WILL purchase because they already got a part of the money from you. :-)

What will you do differently in 2016 to grow your SFI business?

My business plan for 2016 is not exactly different than what it was set out to be. The only changes I've made thus far is to add more money to my advertising budget. 2016 promises to be an extraordinary year for everyone in SFI so I plan to recruit more referrals from all walks of life.
For those on my team that I cannot communicate with due to language barriers, I plan on re-assigning all of them strategically to someone in their own language. This will increase the chances of the new referral understanding the SFI business through the communications sent in their own native language.
Within the next few months I will also be adding fresh hot products and services that are high in demand across my entire niche to my tripleclicks store. This will add more monthly revenue to my income. :-)

SFI has great ways to communicate with your team, but am I missing out by not using outside resources too like email, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.?

Good question????
While some new affiliates feel it's a bother when we try to contact them outside of SFI, constant communication with is extremely important. A lot of people today will not read their emails unless they believe there's something important inside their inbox so I send a lot of valuable information to my entire team every day. One of the easiest ways to socialize with your new referrals is through social media platforms like Facebook and What's App. Using these platforms to communicate will build value and friendship hence turning into an active SFI Worker????.
So, to answer your question, yes you are missing out by not using these platforms.
