If it is better to promote SFI to friends and family, or to strangers?

I will answer this from my own experience:

When I started, I started in SFI, I started recruiting in my direct family, and also from my Facebook friends, and were very excited to have 15 of them in my downline within one month after I started myself. In month 2, I had more than 20 friends in family in my downline, 3 of them already EA's at that time. I was so happy.

Coming month 5, none of them were interested or active anymore, and I felt like a failure, wanting to quite SFI myself. Luckily I had some good CSA's by then, and I simply decided to give it one more try, and started recruiting online and buying affiliates.

13 months after I started, I had about 700 PSA's in my downline, about 40 of them very active. Now my friends and family wants to "join again" after seeing my results.

From my own experience, friends and family will only give you false hope. Rather target strangers. Yes, there are no guarantees either, but at least you will not feel like a failure if they suddenly become inactive.

I would say: Start a team from scratch with strangers, and involve your family and friends at a later stage.

Many may disagree with me, but this would be my suggestion.....

"How do you manage a large active downline"?

I have a personal rule her: DO NOT SPONSOR TOO MUCH AFFILIATES AT ONE TIME!

Why? When affiliates just join, they need your "hands on attention" to guide them through their training. Once the get in the second and thirt month, they will need you again, because they are "dead in the water" if they do not have a downline by this time or any money to invest.

By month 4, they are out of your hands, an except for Team messages and answering their questions (if any), they are on their own.

Further to this: When your Team get too large, reassign some of your new members to your top movers in the same country. (E.g: If you have a PSA in Italy that are doing very well, and you can not speak Italian... rather reassingn new PSA's from Italy to that specific PSA).

This is a good way of sponsoring, and you will give the new Affiliate a much better opportunity to be successful.

The answer is easy: Give them hope through honesty. Be prepared to get requests from Affiliates for financial assistance. I received my first request after being with SFI for 3 months (and many after that). "Support" means that I will help you - for FREE. It does not mean that I will buy you bread!

Be honest straight from the beginning. Should an Affiliate ask you for financial assistance straight away (within the first month or before qualifying as EA the first time), you do not need to be polite. This person will be wasting your time. Just explain that it is not ethical to obtain funds through a channel that is there to create income.

Yes, you can assist somebody financially (if you are in the position to do so)BUT; as a leader you can check the activity of that specific Affiliate. If he or she is in a difficult financial situation, he / she will work hard to get out of this. It is a matter of discretion. Do not just give in. Rather offer a challenge and honor your promises should the he / she make the effort.

I am truly not without a hart, but SFI provides you with all the learning material for free, and if you take 15 minutes out of your day, every day, you will earn more than 80 USD per year. In my country that is a lot of money. So what did he / she do?

You need to assist your Affiliates in a way that they can understand that you are on this program to make money too. (That is why you have joined in the first place). I will not borrow money from a family member. Why will I want to borrow money from a person that I do not even really know?

Sorry. For me this is just unprofessional and not business ethics. Make sure you make yourself very clear on this subject when it cross your way.....

I always give my new Affiliates the following advice.
1. Plan your day to make time for SFI. You get the best benefit if you schedule SFI as a daily task from the day you join. Not only will it be easier to get your Versa Points, but you will keep in contest with E365.
2. Go in every day on all your tabs to score the versa point per day. Do not only “confirm”. READ. There are always valuable tips and new things to learn and explore.
3. Visit Launchpad every day until your training is complete. There-after, at least once a week to ensure you have all the “tools” to maximise your business.
4. Take time to read and rate the answers given under “ask SC” tab. There is valuable lessons from people who know their business, and earn points while you learn.
5. Review your “to do” tab at least 3 times a week, to ensure you are not missing anything.
6. Spend time on Tripleclics tab. There is many interesting things to explore
7. Your last action every day before you sign out of SFI should be to enter the daily grant.
8. Last (but not least): Your Affiliates should know that they must start recruiting their own Affiliates within the first week, because there future in SFI depends on this. Also, encourage them to be in close contact with you and share their thoughts and findings up stream and downstream.
Be true to yourself. Work toward SFI, and SFI will work for you.

All the answers to this Question (that I have seen) are brilliant.

There is one essential thing that is left out on all the answers that I have seen: If you Sponsor a Executive Affiliate (EA2) you get 100VP, and this count as ACTION POINTS. The VP increase with the the rank that you have Sponsored.

If you do what all the answers suggested, and be an awesome sponsor too, there is no change of failure in this business.

There is just one answer: HONESTY!

I am lucky to have a good Sponsor and Co- Sponsor from the beginning....both of them from other countries. They do not understand African challenges, but they do understand the one word that is "key to any business": HONESTY!!!!

People, be straight with your Affiliates from the first day. SFI is not a scheme that will make money overnight. Do not place anybody under the wrong impression. Tell your affiliates this from the start.

I am in SFI for less then a year and still learning. What I can share with you so far is ONE WORD: Honesty!

Be transparent in all you do. You will see the return over time....

It is not only worthwhile, it is essential! The personal touch by calling the Affiliate on his / her name does make a difference. You want the new members to be part of your downline family, and you should welcome them as individuals.

Use the group mailing for things such as "Team News", launch of products or informational detail, like explaining the benefits of Wave 3 Membership.

I have found the best results by individual welcoming, and then for the first couple of weeks, check their VP ledgers, and follow up with messages to assist them to understand the basic actions of SFI. Keep it personal and relevant to the need of the specific affiliate. You will not be able to address this properly in group mails.

This is sound advice, as it was tested, and found to be working.

WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO THAT? Every new affiliate needs some coaching and guiding from their Sponsor. What they need, want to know and circumstances will differ from one another. As their SPONSOR, it would be your role to assist them with their training (and even afterwards).

Can you seriously say that you will be able to give personal attention to 100 Affiliates per day...every day? If you neglect your affiliates they will simply become inactive, and there would be no gain to you, or fairness to them. Do not take on more affiliates that you can handle.

You must have patience and a "slow hand" in this business. Personally, I am with SFI for less than a year, but are ranked number 2 in my country. WHY? Because I give personal attention to each affiliate. I am hunting Quality Affiliates.

This is a route that I will not recommend. If you look at it in a technical way, you would be contravening the SFI Rules.

For your PSA’s: Run a competition / campaign with the allocation of new PSA’s, and Gift certificates.

For your CSA’s: Award them with TCredits (just keep in mind that you cannot give out more than 10 TCredits to any Affiliate. To offer more, you will have to contact SFI Support.

Gift certificates are not a bad way either for PSA’s or CSA’s.

To take any other route regarding “rewards” would not be recommended.
