First of all the goals should be something that are achievable. Look at your short term goals and see how they will build up to allow you to achieve your mid term goals
Take your mid term goals and set them on a five year period to see what is achievable in the five year period. Now add some to this to set yourself a realistic and achievable long term goal. Do this for each of your long term goals.

It is pointless and also soul destroying to set goals that are completely unachievable. If you get to a point where you see your target as impossible there is more chance of you giving up on what you are doing.

It is also pointless setting goals that are far to easy to achieve. When you do this you are not pushing yourself at all.

If you find you are achieving your long term goal quicker than expected then you can always increase what you were trying to achieve so that you keep pushing yourself to the limit.

While both are equally effective in your advertising, unless you have a regular hosted website that is already drawing in visitors the blog will get visitors to your website quicker than the regular hosted website.

The reason for this is the content is more likely to be changing and updating far more often on a blog than a regular website. I would suggest an updated article at least every other day until you have 50 plus articles on your blog. You can then ease off a little bit but you still need to be updating your blog regularly.

Once you have a blog running and drawing in visitors then you can go about building a regular website and promoting it in the search engines. Whether you go for a blog or a regular website you are going to have to take particular notice of your search engine optimization.

Both methods have both advantages and disadvantages.

With email you may not copy the address correctly, or perhaps they have given a false address or they themselves have put a typo in the email address. Their inbox may be full. They may have a spam catcher that sends you a reply to confirm. (This usually only has to be done once per address.)

If you are sending many emails this can be very time consuming.

With the PSA mailer it should go to both their email inbox and the SFI team mail inbox. Again if it is a false or incorrect address then you have to rely on them logging in to get the message.

With the new restrictions on the number of emails you can send you may want to consider a mix of both when it comes to contacting CSAs.

As a trainer I was always taught that if criticism was required it should be served in a sandwich.

This sandwich should be made by first praising the individual, then putting in the criticism, (in a soft a way as possible while making the necessary point(s)). This was immediately followed by more praise.

I found this to be a very useful guide in dishing out criticism without offending or upsetting the one receiving the rebuke.

But do we as sponsors really need to criticize anybody. I read some of the forum questions and think how stupid, and then I remember when I first started and found it easier for someone to give me a short explanation before reading through all the relevant material. We are supposed to be helping those in our downline, and criticism is not always the best way to go.

We have to cope with language difficulties as, to different people the meanings of some words change. Those who don't have English as a first language often misunderstand the meaning of words that are used. This is not to criticize either the reader or the writer but just to point out inconsistencies.

We should instead be looking to advise those who we feel they are doing something incorrectly. Perhaps we should suggest to the one who is doing things incorrectly another way of doing the exercise. Perhaps we could just send a tip out in our weekly mailings to everyone in our downline suggesting a method we have found that will do something more efficiently, or quicker.

The best way to get your affiliates to become serious in SFI is to lead by example. Do not try to get your affiliates to do something you are not doing or you are unwilling to do.

Show your affiliates you are serious about building your SFI business and encourage them to do the same. Explain exactly how you got to the position you are in, and tell them how you can help them to get to the same position.

With your help and guidance you should be able to encourage your affiliates to follow your example and start making money for themselves and also for you.

Early in their SFI career you will need to explain to them the need to have a standing order for 1500VP. Once they have this commitment then you can offer them any extra help they need.

I would say that during the first month the PSA's should be spending all the time they can learning the SFI business and getting used to logging in on a daily basis so as to build up their VersaPoints.

We sometimes forget that the new PSA's have so much training and reading to go through, that they really have not got time for any thing else if they are going to become good affiliates. This is a business and while you may wish to be earning points from your PSA's from the first month you will end up earning many more points if they understand the business correctly

Once they have had that month to settle in, then you can start advising them on promoting and the methods used, although they will by now have read many ways of carrying this out though all the training they have done.

With affiliates like this you just need to keep them in the loop. You need to do this because you never know when or if they are ever going to become active.

By keeping them in the loop you are keeping them advised of what is going on in SFI. If they see you are climbing the success ladder they could well decide to start becoming more active themselves.

You can only explain to people what you are earning and how you go about it.

I think it is very important that they know this is not going to happen immediately and the amount they are going to earn is directly proportional to the amount of work they put in.

Anyone can earn a substantial income with SFI and TripleClicks but they will not be earning if they don't encourage others to join and copy what they are doing.

Point out to the skeptics how long SFI has been running and the fact it is also a member of the better business bureau. It is a business and like any business it will need investment in time and they will earn quicker if they also invest money into SFI.

Point out the different streams of income and how each is earned. The more they recruit the more the income is likely to be. If they are not willing to put in some work then the income they get is going to be either low or non-existent.

I think is is very important that they understand this is not a get rich quick scheme, but if they follow the advice of their leaders then they can earn a substantial income in time.

I am at a loss as to why you would only want your prospective PRM's to play games and not to use their TCredits in the auctions.

As far as I can see if I can get them to buy more TCredits to take part in the auctions or if I can get them to purchase items I will be getting commission on both the TCredits and the Purchases made.

Yes the games are there as well but I would be promoting everything that the gift card can be used for and not particularly focusing on games.

Perhaps you are thinking more of the younger end of the potential PRM's where game playing is their forte, but don't forget the other things that the Gift Cards can be used for.

In my humble opinion the most important thing you can do with your introductory email is to be welcoming and very friendly. Rather than giving the new affiliate a list of things that they need to be doing talk to them and explain why you are with SFI. Certainly encourage them to complete their profile and get their first 500 VersaPoints and explain the benefits of logging in daily and completing their to do list.

By giving them too much information in their first day you run the risk of frightening them off rather than encouraging them. During their first week send out more emails further explaining how and what SFI is and further tasks that they could be completing if they wish to make their new venture an success. Don't go overboard in the first week but do explain to them the advantages of making EA, and also the advantage of staying in the E365 class group competition.

I realize everyone has their own views on what their affiliates should be doing we also have to be realistic about the results we are going to get. Encouragement always works far better than the press-gang method of helping recruits.
